I am so excited that you're here! This is where I share my latest sessions, personal photos, and funny life stories. You'll quickly hear about my obsessive cleaning habits, my adorable pup, and probably a little something about fruit pizza (only the best food ever created). So grab a drink (something iced for me... yes, even in the winter), and scroll through the archives!
Okay, this house really isn’t that old. But we are moving into a new-to-us home, which makes our current house the old house ;) A couple weeks ago I finally spilled the beans about our move, and today I’m sharing pictures of our current house!
I always love seeing photos inside peoples homes (call me a stalker… whatever), and so I thought it’d be fun to show you ours! Some of you may remember (from way back in 2008) my Tour My House Tuesday series (even just writing that sounds hilarious…), which gave you a little preview into some different rooms. I wrote about the kitchen, my bedroom, and the living room. Clearly I was not in it for the long haul, haha!
I hadn’t looked back on those pictures in years, so it was weird to read those posts (isn’t blogging amazing? I can look back at 12 year old me and laugh and cringe all day long) and see #1 how terrible those photos were, and #2 how different our house looks now! Especially the kitchen… wow.
The craziest thing of all is that we’ve already sold this house! The only thing left to do is move into the new house sometime this summer. I can’t wait! I’m so excited to have my little apartment and decorate it just how I want.
I also can’t wait to get into the new house and show you lots of before and after photos. It’s going to be so beautiful! But for now, here are the photos I took for the real estate pages (which we really didn’t even get to use, since the house sold in a day… haha!). I am definitely not a real estate photographer, so don’t judge my efforts ;)
So many memories in this house… We’ve been here 11 years, and it’ll always feel like home!
Over the years, mom’s style has changed to something very classy and minimalist. Which is PERFECT because that’s my style too! I love that our house isn’t cluttered with ‘stuff’. The day mom and I first walked through this house, the living room had pink carpet and green walls. Lord help us.
We (and by we, I mean Dad ;) painted the kitchen cabinets white, and it made such a huge difference! It opened it up, and really brightened the whole room. When we first moved in, there was actually another set of cabinets over the bar. Who does that?? Crazy.
My sofa makes me so happy… I can’t wait to put it in my apartment!
And now some before and afters…
My style has changed so drastically over the years. I even had a phase where the walls were painted hot pink and dark grey, with zebra accents. Praise Jesus I have reformed from my ways.
Same living room furniture (it’s amazing how it holds up when you have a dog that doesn’t shed, and you don’t have little kids ;), but mom really transformed it in the last few years!
It’s crazy what a difference painting those cabinets made!! It looks a trillion times better.
So there you have it… if you’re a stalker like me, and you’ve always wondered what my house looked like, this post is for you ;) It’ll be very bittersweet moving from this home… This is where I spent all of my teen years, became best fiends with my sisters, spent many nights around a campfire roasting marshmallows, and grew my business. Eleven years of wonderful memories. So thankful for my family, who made this house an incredible home.
