I am so excited that you're here! This is where I share my latest sessions, personal photos, and funny life stories. You'll quickly hear about my obsessive cleaning habits, my adorable pup, and probably a little something about fruit pizza (only the best food ever created). So grab a drink (something iced for me... yes, even in the winter), and scroll through the archives!
November has been such a great month! It’s just so hard to believe that there’s only one more day until December. The last month of 2017! That’s insane. 2017 truly has been the greatest year of my life, but I have a feeling that it’s only going to get better from here :)
Since these Wednesday Wrap Up’s are turning into more of a ‘once or twice a month’ kind of thing, I’ll try to get you all caught up. A super fun activity from the beginning of November was taking mom and Joelle up to Chris’s house for them to meet his family and make homemade apple cider. We ended up with a lot more applesauce than cider, but it was absolutely delicious!
Something I’ve been keeping really quiet on social media, is the fact that I’ve started editing for other wedding photographers. And let me tell you, I am SO excited about it! So far, I absolutely love it. I’m incredibly thankful for this way to add extra income over the winter, and even during my busy season too! I’m still looking to add one or two more clients, so if you’re interested, send me an email ;)
Chris has been working so diligently to get our backyard cleaned up! Earlier this month, he burned the piles he worked so hard to make. It was a really chilly day, but it was hot standing by the flames!
I finally caved, and on November 14th, I put up my Christmas tree. Honestly, I’m not even a little bit ashamed! It has brought me so much joy, and I’ve already loaded it up with presents. The current present count is 16, and I am SO excited for everyone to open their gifts!!
On November 17th, Chris and I celebrated 6 months of dating! What on earth?? It’s already been 6 months? Every day, I fall more in love with him and I grow even more thankful for the amazing man of God that he is. I can’t believe this is my life! God is so so good. We hiked to McAfee Knob, and the view from the top was amazing!
I used my Gorillapod from Photojojo to get this one, hahaha.
That same weekend, Sarah-Anne and her boyfriend, Morgan, came up to visit! You may remember me writing about her back in 2016 (and lots of other times throughout the years…), when we met for the very first time! We’ve been best friends for years, going all the way back to when we first started blogging. It’s been so much fun seeing where life has taken her, and getting to see her (and meet Morgan!) was definitely a highlight from this month.
The skating rink here in Bridgewater has finally opened up! It’s a little bit scary, because I remember so clearly when it opened last year. Time is just flying by! That also means that we’re coming up on a whole year of me taking figure skating lessons. I have always loved figure skating, but I decided that 2017 was going to be my year to really learn. It has been amazing!! The first few months were re-learning basics, and fixing all the things I had taught myself to do wrong. Everything matters, from your arm position, to holding your core, to bending your knees at the right angle, to pointing your toe perfectly. I am so proud of all the things I’ve learned, and I have to admit, it’s pretty fun being able to do some waltz jumps and toe loops ;)
One other fun thing to mention – I got a new office chair! I got a new keyboard to help with editing (the Loupedeck… it’s AMAZING!), and my old chair was about an inch too short. My wrists were constantly in pain! So now I have a big, leather, swirly office chair. It doesn’t match my apartment AT ALL, but I don’t even care because I am so comfortable ;)
I hope you all have a wonderful week!! :)
