I am so excited that you're here! This is where I share my latest sessions, personal photos, and funny life stories. You'll quickly hear about my obsessive cleaning habits, my adorable pup, and probably a little something about fruit pizza (only the best food ever created). So grab a drink (something iced for me... yes, even in the winter), and scroll through the archives!
First of all, my bad for not posting for two and a half weeks… It’s been a little crazy around here, and blogging has not been high on my list of priorities! If you had told me when I was 14 and 15 that someday blogging would not be the most important thing to me, I probably would have laughed at you ;) I was slightly obsessed with having perfectly scheduled posts, and if there was even a slight delay I would freak out.
Even just this past year, I’ve done so well with blogging! I get my posts scheduled for the right days, and I’m good to go. But lately there have been other things occupying my attention *coughChriscough* ;) and I couldn’t be happier about it! I’m spending time doing what matters.
But the biggest part of this post is the fact that it truly is the end of an era. After 11 years in this house, I am finally at my last week here on Apple Tree Drive. I wrote about the moving news here, and I said that we wouldn’t be moving until August. The closing date got moved up, and it’s actually today! All week long I have been in my basement apartment, moving things over and decorating. Dad is the best, and he painted the entire thing exactly the way I wanted it! I’m so thankful for my family. The apartment looks amazing and I can’t wait to share photos!!
The official move-in date for my parents is July 18th, but I am moving in either tomorrow or the next day. Today could be my last day in this house. It’s a little bittersweet (mostly sweet ;), because it has been my home for over 11 years! I truly did grow up in this house. There are so many wonderful memories here! Watching the entire Anne of Green Gables series with Kate & Jenny during a snow storm, spending summers in the pool with Joelle – tossing trail mix and grapes at each other, bringing Oliver home to his forever family, getting my license and pulling out of the driveway by myself for the first time ever, beginning my photography business, and so many more.
I look around my room, and it’s almost completely empty. There are several Chick-fil-A fry boxes (those of you that worked there know just how amazing those boxes are for moving) stacked in my closet, and my bed and my desk. I have a few pieces of clothing hanging in the closet, but the rest is hanging in the apartment! Everything is off the walls, sitting in my new living room, waiting to be hung in a brand new spot. It is such an exciting thing! I can’t wait for new adventures in a new place.
The next time you hear from me, I’ll be settled into my new apartment! Then going right back into wedding season. Thank the Lord all the moving is getting taken care of a week before my next wedding!!
Also, happy Independence Day from me and my boo (a week late) <3
