I am so excited that you're here! This is where I share my latest sessions, personal photos, and funny life stories. You'll quickly hear about my obsessive cleaning habits, my adorable pup, and probably a little something about fruit pizza (only the best food ever created). So grab a drink (something iced for me... yes, even in the winter), and scroll through the archives!
It’s been just over a month since my last Wrap Up! Why am I so bad at this? I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again… I’m much more concerned with my real life than with my online life, which definitely contributes to the lack of posting lately. Life is too exciting right now to be stuck behind a computer all day long!!
So let’s see if we can do a short recap of this last month… Fantasy Football started up again, and so far I am 3-0! I’m sure my winning streak won’t last long, but I’m eating it up while I can, haha! Last week I had about a 30% chance of winning, and then somehow I ended up pulling it out (who am I kidding, I did nothing. Brandin Cooks carried the team on his back).
I started Insanity this week, and even though I’m only 3 days in, I can testify that YES. It is INSANE. I am sore in muscles I didn’t even know existed. I have figure skating practice later today, and so that will be interesting to say the least… I am committing to doing Insanity for 60 days. Recently I had gotten into a bad habit of sleeping in until 9, getting a late start on my day, and just feeling tired all the time. I really love getting up early, I just have to make myself do it!
Speaking of which, I have a really dumb system that I use to get out of bed. Every morning, my alarm goes off and I squeeze my eyes shut and say “5, 4, 3, 2, 1” and then I get out of bed. I watched a video on this concept, and shockingly enough, it actually works! I give myself those 5 seconds to wake up enough to say “yes, I’m going to do this”, without giving myself enough time to think “nahhhh, I’ll just go back to sleep”. Try it for yourself!
On September 21st, Chris and I celebrated 4 months of dating! Is that just a little crazy or what?? Pretty soon it will be half a year. I know that’s not a long time in the grand scheme of things, but 6 months of committing to another person is a big deal, and I’m going to celebrate that. I am so thankful for him!! He is just the best <3
The weather in the beginning and middle of September was absolutely lovely. 50’s and 60’s, cool and breezy. But now in the end of the month, and now that it’s actually FALL… it’s hot again! It’s not unusual to be high 80’s during the day, and I’m pretty tired of it. It’s officially fall, and Virginia needs to get it together and start ACTING LIKE IT.
(It’s supposed to be, at least…)
I am working on switching over all of my client information from ShootQ to Dubsado. I’m really excited about this change, but it’s a little bit nerve-wracking since it’ll be something that clients actually see! ;) That just means I have a very small window of time to get everything perfectly lined up. I’m giving myself until the end of this week to have a good 85% of the system worked out, with all my client information imported! Current clients, you shouldn’t see much of a change, except for a prettier interface when you log into your new portal! Yay!!
Three years ago today, Thomas & Jenny got married! I can’t believe it’s been that long since I first had to play bridesmaid + sister + photographer. Their day was absolutely amazing, and I still remember it like it was yesterday! Happy anniversary! <3
My to-do list is already piling up for today, so it’s time to wrap it up (pun not really intended, I’m just too tired to think of something else). Have a wonderful week!
