I am so excited that you're here! This is where I share my latest sessions, personal photos, and funny life stories. You'll quickly hear about my obsessive cleaning habits, my adorable pup, and probably a little something about fruit pizza (only the best food ever created). So grab a drink (something iced for me... yes, even in the winter), and scroll through the archives!

The One With The Walmart Trips Wednesday Wrap Up | Vol. 74

It’s already been a long week, and it’s only Wednesday! Sometimes you just need to take a little break. And this morning when my alarm went off at 6:30, and I heard the rain outside my window, I knew today would be the perfect morning to stay in bed a little bit longer.

I have been doing so well with my new strength training workouts, and I actually love waking up early to get them done! But yesterday was just such a hectic day, I felt like I deserved a little extra rest today ;) Right after this blog post, I’m going to do my workout, and get on with my day. I’ve already got a to-do list that’s growing by the minute, and I’m excited to start tackling it!

One of the reasons I wanted to get into strength training (instead of straight cardio, like I’ve been doing), is because I need to work on my core strength and balance for figure skating. And yesterday during my lesson, I could definitely feel the benefits, even in a short amount of time. Speaking of figure skating, what I wouldn’t give to have an ice rink nearby again… it takes an hour and a half to drive to the closest rink, and it kills me to not be able to practice as much as I want! I’m excited for this winter, when the outdoor rink will open again! Especially because after we move, we’ll be less than 5 minutes away :)

This really has nothing to do with the post, except it’s our pretty new driveway <3

I would just like to say this: I hate Walmart. With a passion. This is something I always knew, but it was reiterated in the last few days. I think I have been to Walmart 6 times in the last two weeks, which fills my quota for the year. You just run into all kinds of problems at Walmart, and you think to yourself, “this would never happen in Target…” ;)

My biggest struggle with Walmart has been trying to buy a bike. The first one I bought ended up having a flat tire (noticed after mom put it together, of course). We took it in and asked for a replacement, and were told “you can have another bike in a box to put together, or there’s one already assembled!” So we said we’d take the assembled bike (duh.), and he pointed to the bike we just rolled into the store. Well. We don’t want that one. Thank you very much.

I should’ve gone to Target to calm down. Walked through the dollar aisle and drooled over the Nate Berkus collection.

Okay, it’s really time now to forget my Walmart worries and do my workout. Now that I’ve vented, I’m free to enjoy the rest of my day ;) Hopefully free of trips to Walmart.
